Main distributions & sub-distributions

Testing of main distributions & sub-distributions according to DGUV Regulation 3

Electrical distribution systems – whether main or sub-distribution systems – are the heart of every electrical system.
A failure or defect can not only cause production stoppages but also pose significant safety risks.
We check your distributions professionally DGUV Regulation 3, DIN VDE 0100-600 and DIN VDE 0105-100.

What counts as main and sub-distribution boards?

Main distributions (HV): central feed for the entire building or company premises
Sub-distributions (UV): decentralized distributions in floors, halls or ancillary areas
Both contain relevant equipment such as circuit breakers, miniature circuit breakers, residual current devices, NH disconnectors and measuring devices.

Why is the exam so important?

Avoiding power outages and equipment damage
Protection against electrical fires
Proof of statutory inspection obligation (DGUV V3)
Protection in the event of liability or insurance
Reduction of downtime through early error detection

This is how the exam works

Our qualified electricians check all distribution systems taking into account the standards and safety requirements:
Visual inspection
Check for damage, loose terminals, labels, wiring
Functional test
Testing the triggering of protective devices such as residual current devices (RCDs)
measurement
e.g. loop impedance, insulation resistance, voltage drop
documentation
Digital test report + test marking directly at the distribution

How often should distributions be checked?

Recommended every 4 years for stationary installations
In sensitive areas (e.g. medical, public): every 1–2 years
After renovations or extensions: immediate retest
We support you in complying with all statutory inspection deadlines.
