PRCD testing according to DGUV Regulation 3 – Mobile safety everywhere
PRCD devices (Portable RCD – also known as PRCD circuit breaker) are mobile circuit breakers that protect people from electric shock in the event of a fault.
They are primarily used on construction sites, in workshops, for mobile operations, and in facility management. Regular inspections are required by law – we'll take care of it for you!
What is a PRCD?
A PRCD is a portable protective device that is connected between the electrical outlet and the load. In the event of a residual current, it automatically interrupts the power supply – thus protecting life and health.

How we check your PRCD
The examination is carried out according to the requirements of DGUV Regulation 3 and more relevant DIN VDE standards (e.g. VDE 0661, VDE 0701-0702):
Visual inspection
Check for external damage, housing condition, cables, plugs
Functional test
Checking the triggering behavior with special measuring devices

Test of leakage current, protective conductor resistance, tripping current
Documentation & plaque
You will receive a digital test report + test sticker with date information
How often does a PRCD need to be checked?
Depending on the location, different inspection periods apply:
On construction sites: every 3 months
In the commercial sector: every 6 to 12 months
According to the risk assessment: can be individually set
