Standards & legal basis

What we check – and why it is legally required

To ensure that electrical tests are not only useful but also legally compliant We strictly adhere to the relevant standards, regulations and laws.
Here we explain to you, which legal basis the DGUV V3 test is based on – and what this means for you as an operator.

DGUV Regulation 3 (formerly BGV A3)

The DGUV Regulation 3 is the most important legal basis for the testing of electrical equipment. It applies to all commercial and public facilities in Germany.
Key messages:
All electrical systems & devices must be checked regularly
The examination may only by qualified electricians or under their supervision take place
The operator is responsible for safety & documentation
Violations may result in fines, loss of insurance or criminal prosecution

DIN VDE standards – technical testing standards

We test according to the currently valid standards of the VDE (German Electrical Engineering Association). The most important:
standard
Description
DIN VDE 0701-0702
Testing of portable electrical equipment
DIN VDE 0105-100
Operation of electrical systems
DIN VDE 0100-600
Initial testing of new or modified installations
DIN VDE 0113 / EN 60204-1
Safety of machinery
DIN VDE 0751-1
Medical electrical devices

💡 Depending on the device type, area of application and industry, we apply the appropriate combination of standards.

Further legal bases

Industrial Safety Ordinance (BetrSichV)
Occupational Safety and Health Act (ArbSchG)
TRBS 1201 / 1203 (Technical rules for operational safety)
